Dr. Sebastian Lotzkat, geb. 1981, beschäftigt sich als Biologe mit der Biodiversität von Reptilien und Amphibien. Im Rahmen seiner Promotion verbrachte er rund 12 Monate in den Regenwäldern Panamas, um die Vielfalt der dortigen Reptilien zu dokumentieren und dabei auch einige neue Arten von Echsen und Schlangen zu entdecken. Neben der reinen Wissenschaft konzipiert und realisiert er unter anderem im Senckenbergmuseum und im Palmengarten Frankfurt Führungen, Workshops, Vorträge und Exkursionen, arbeitet als freier Autor und ist preisgekrönter Science Slammer.
