DOES GOD HAVE PARENTS? THE WISDOM OF CHILDREN

Children have their own wondrous wisdoms, having not yet developed fixed concepts about life. And they don’t mindlessly follow some set of instructions for dealing with it, as though life were like assembling a piece of IKEA furniture. A tree is not just a tree that carries leaves and grows roots. A tree is also “wood coming out of the ground”, as Jonathan (aged 6) says. This book lets kids talk about foreignness, God, power, siblings, fairness, time and much more. Often their pronouncements contain some remarkable insights and raise new questions that encourage children and parents alike to renew their own sense of wonder.
